Waters Cemetery
The Waters family cemetery is also a sunny place. The two main stones are the family monument and a headstone to John Henry Waters. There are also six footstone-sized markers to other family members and one of these is also to John Henry. It is interesting to note that the large monument indicates a different birthdate (April 7, 1818) than his individual stone (April 6, 1818.) The enclosure is reasonably well kept, although a large tree has fallen across the northwest corner destroying about 30 feet of fence. There are also several bullet impacts on the backs of the two large stones. The site can be found south of 834 Road, just inside the woods at the western edge of the large cleared Drop Zone in Area W.
